Are you looking to be part of a choir? Then come along and join the NLK Kilmarnock Community Choir Project! It’s open to all singers aged 16 and over.
Choir starts August 28th at 7pm.
The Kilmarnock Community Choir project is a new and central choir open for everyone and anyone over the age of sixteen who would like to develop their musical and singing skills. The choir aims to be an open, welcoming space for anyone in the community interested in music and hopes to showcase community members who enjoy sharing their love of singing. Prior musical knowledge or experience is always helpful, however, it is not essential in order to join the choir and there will be no auditions or open interviews to join, just simply turn up to rehearsals and enjoy learning new musical skills, get the chance to meet new friends and delight in singing as part of a group.
Music is proven to be beneficial for one’s mental, psychological and even physical health, so what better way to improve all these elements than in a choir! Studies have shown that being part of a musical group, such as a community choir, not only promotes relationships within the community but it allows members to experience and be involved in new and exciting projects within their local town. Subsequent to this, NLK wants to improve community links and open our doors to this new project that will allow anyone and everyone to be part of a musical venture.
